Spanish and flamenco
SG´s courses on the World of Flamenco combine Spanish language with Flamenco skills, its culture and enchantment. Appealing to all ages, male and female, beginners or lower intermediate levels, sessions include rhythm, compás, las palmas and introduction to the many forms of palos. Dance classes are taught daily from Monday to Friday afternoons in Museo de Baile Flamenco de Sevilla or Casa de la Memoria. The SG course guide introduces you to Flamenco’s authentic vocabulary, its peñas, tablaos and seasonal fiestas, Flamenco bars and guitar and song tuition options. All part of Sevilla, the heart of Flamenco.
Flamenco weekends or extra workshops for particular dance techniques such as alegrias, solea, tango and sevillanas are available on enquiry.
Tuition centres have fully equipped studios with mirrors and air conditioning. Our Spanish language teachers are trained to team-teach collaborating with dance instructors, who are professional Flamenco dancers that perform in Sevillaʼs International World of Flamenco.
A fun social entertainment option is a Flamenco Introduction session aimed at visitors who are not dancers or musical performers but wish to take part in a lively, enjoyable cultural event.
